About Us
We’re helping campuses ignite change.
SPARK partners are on a mission to make Wisconsin colleges and universities healthier for us all.
SPARK is a Wisconsin-wide, state-supported program that helps college campuses pass tobacco-free policies and educate campus communities on the threat of commercial tobacco in all its forms. SPARK offers students, faculty, and staff a platform and an opportunity to advocate for tobacco-free policies and ignite change on their campus.
Along with funding to campuses, we also provide training, technical assistance (via customized online resources, networking calls, one-on-one meetings, and communications), and other resources to our grantees and other partners working on tobacco control initiatives.
Launched in 2011, SPARK offers partners over a decade of practical tobacco control experience
We have awarded over 100 SPARK grants—more than $100,000 of support
We’ve worked with 30 colleges and universities throughout the state of Wisconsin
Our Partners
Colleges and universities are considered partners if they have received SPARK funding (past or present) to address tobacco use on their campus. Being a SPARK school does not mean that they have passed a tobacco-free campus policy. (Yet.)
An asterisk (*) signifies institutions have a 100% tobacco-free campus policy.
